Facility characteristic
Stairway CLIMBER 1 is determined
to transit of clients on a mechanical wheelchair down and up to stairs.
It is characterized by high
quality and utility value at keeping the maximal simplicity and easy
attendance.
Czech designers have given big

and robust construction at

Contitions for safe operation
¨
stairway CLIMBER
is determined to using by persons who are trained by the supplier´s or producer´s
staff
¨
persons who are
younger than 15 years old can´t use the facility
¨
don´t use the
facility on slippery or wet stairs or on incompact surface (broken
stairs, stairs covered
with carpet which isn´t firm fixed etc.)
¨
before running the
CLIMBER with user check the safety locking the
wheelchair with user
and general stability of CLIMBER with user (gravity
centre) on horizontal
surface
¨
at transit of
person on clear horizontal surface is recommended to switch to run of CLIMBER
without belts (wheel working)
¨
maximal enabled
inclination is indicated by the inclinometer
¨
cross slope of
path has to be 0 degrees (i. e. out of inclination of transported person on the
right or on the left)
¨
don´t use the
CLIMBER on spiral stair
¨
maximal loading
kapacity is 130 kg (see label)
¨
continuous running
with on-load is guaranteed for a period of 30 minutes with fully charged battery

the facility is
determined to transfer of persons on mechanical wheelchair

after take-over
the facility read this guide carefully and respect the mentioned instructions

for using with
more kinds of wheelchairs it is always necessary to set the separate holders for
individual
wheelchair by seller´s or
producer´s trained person

is prohibited to
govern, unprofessionally repair or interfere in the facility without
authorization.
hese activities can be provided
only by supplier´s skilled specialist.
§
don´t expose the
battery to extreme temperature ups downs
§
12V battery
charger which is placed outside of CLIMBER is determined to provision the
regular charging
the battery with emphasis on
maximal economy.
§
don´t use other
type of charger than supplied by producer!
§
after usability
light signalling (the green indicator lights on charger) you can finis the
battery charging by change
the position of switch and
removal the charger connector from CLIMBER
§
for reach the
maximal battery capacity (thereby elongation the time of usable of CLIMBER) we
recommend
that continue in charging for
next 12 hours after this signalization
§
the filler of
battery consists of dangerous substance to health. ATTENTION! Don´t open or
don´t intervene
into the battery! In the event

Information for users
1.
starting the down-up to stairs
Insert
the key to switch of turning (13) and turn it clockwise. You can´t use the
CLIMBER without activation by the key.
2.
possibility of manipulation with the climber on horizontal pace
The side
wheels serve to easy movement on horizontal pace (7). The wheels provide
physical undemanding facility manipulation
with
transfered person.
Incline
the rudder slight and thereby the whole CLIMBER on, the CLIMBER belts come loose
from floor. And you can tamper
with
CLIMBER by wheels. You can work with the CLIMBER together with transfered
person.
After
backward deflection of rubber and thereby the whole CLIMBER apart, the belts of
CLIMBER touch the floor.
Herewith
you obtain the possibility to use the motor drive.
At the
movement on stairs the side wheels imitate the stairs and don´t obstruct the
belt mechanism.
Overcome
the appropriate obstructions outsider stairs by backward running of CLIMBER!
3. connection both of parts of climber
Stairway
CLIMBER consists of 2 parts – so-called gear and rudder.
Both
rudder and gear you have to connect safely before using.
After
using is possible to unconnect the CLIMBER and transport it e. g. by car.
How to
connect the rudder to gear:
a)
Stand up face to back of gear.
b)
Handle the rubber and push in it into the socket of gear carefully.
c)
Incline the rubber on to reach the lock-on of lever system (11).
d)
Check if it is impossible to divert the rudder from you.
e)
Turn the key of switch (13) clockwise.
f)
Press the switch of movement on rudder. In case the facility doesn´t go, check
the
following:
1. If the battery status indicator lights:
a) if the red diodes light, charge the battery
by supplied charger
b) if it doesn´t light at all, call your seller
or above - mentioned service warranter.
2. If the lock safety button isn´t blocked – turn the
buton.
How to
disconnect the rudder and the gear:
a) We
recommend to turn off the switch of CLIMBER (13) and take out the key from
switch.
b)
Stand up face to back of gear.
c)
Insert your leg under the back of gear. Lean your heel to floor. Insert your
tip-toe
between
the axe of upper wheels and lever system (11).
d)
Press down by your tip-toe on the lever (11) slightly.
e)
Divert the rudder from you.
f)
Take out the rudder from grip socket and take out it from the gear.
4. HOW TO USE THE CLIMBER TO OVERCOME THE BARRIERS
A)
How to connect safely transported person on mechanical
wheelchair to CLIMBER:
1)
Drive with the complete CLIMBER under the lower part of mechanical wheelchair.
The
wheels of
mechanical wheelchair have to be broken.
2)
Stand up face to back of gear.
3)
Insert your leg under the back of gear. Lean your heel to floor. Insert your
tip-toe
between
the axe of upper wheels and lever system (11).
4)
Press down by your tip-toe on the lever (11) slightly.
5)
Divert the rudder from you.
6) Fix
both holders for mechanical wheelchair to rudder in agreement with the points 7)
and 8).
7)
Extend and safeguard the spring breaker, set the pitch of the holders according
to
inside
range of hadles of wheelchair.
8)
Drive with the wheelchair above the holders and leave off the spring breaker to
attach
the
wheelchair. The holders safe the addition the construction of wheelchair to
rudder.
9) Fix
the safety belt to effect the safety of transported person.
10)
Inclinate the rudder with transported person on. You can help yourself by lean
your
leg on
axe of top of wheelchair. The lever of lever system (11) have to click.
B)
How to disconnect transported person on mechanical wheelchair
from CLIMBER:
1)
Stop on flat surface where is enough place.
2)
Stand up face to back of gear.
3)
Insert your leg under the back of gear. Lean your heel to floor. Insert your
tip-toe
between
the axe of upper wheels and lever system (11).
4)
Press down by your tip-toe on the lever (11) slightly.
5)
Divert the rudder from you to tip the wheelchair get on wheel again. You can
insert
your tip-toe
between the axe of upper wheels and lever system (11) for reach better
stability.
6)
Loosen the safety belt.
7)
Lock off the holders, loosen the wheelchair from rudder and unbrake the breaks
of
mechanical wheelchair.
8)
Connect the rudder to CLIMBER again and go out with the CLIMBER from under of
wheelchair.
C)
Movement with the CLIMBER up the stairs:
1) Fix
the wheelchair with transported person to CLIMBER – according the paragraph A.
2)
Drive by back stroke of CLIMBER to stair. (The rudder of facility is towards to
stairs,
operator
stand back to stair.)
3)
Press the button of up movement (arrow on) and hold it.
4)
During climbing check the inclination of both CLIMBER and transfered person too.
5) In
the event of some pressure let the button of movement or press the red lock
safety
button
which is placed next to buttons of movement.
6)
After climb of CLIMBER to point of inclination of CLIMBER (which is marked on
CLIMBER)
fall the whole CLIMBER towards to you and go away to flat surface to
prepare
transfered person enough place to loose from CLIMBER.
7)
Disconnect transported person from CLIMBER – according the paragraph B.
D)
Movement with the CLIMBER downstairs:
1) Fix
the wheelchair with transported person to CLIMBER – according the paragraph A.
2)
Drive by run forwards of CLIMBER to stair to point of inclination of CLIMBER (which
is marked on CLIMBER).
3)
Fall the whole CLIMBER apart from you to reach the top of stair.
4)
Press the button of down movement (arrow apart from you).
5)
During falling check the inclination of both CLIMBER and transfered person too.
6) In
the event of some pressure let the button of movement or press the red lock
safety
button
which is placed next to buttons of movement.
7)
After reach the flat surface under the stair disconnect transported person from
CLIMBER –
according the paragraph B.
5. battery charging
The
charger 12 V is placed outsider from CLIMBER for safety reasons. It is necessary
for charging to connect
the
charger (9) into plug 220 V and connect the connector to outlet of CLIMBER
(8).
Then turn
the switch with key (13) anticlockwise. In the event the red indicator lights on
charger the battery is charged.
In case
the green indicator lights on charger it is necessary to break the charging and
use the CLIMBER after disconnect
the
charger connector and change-over the swicht (13).
We warn
if the switch is on charging possition you can´t use the CLIMBER for safety
reasons!
6. current maintenance
Model
CLIMBER 1 is nearly maintenance-free, check the CLIMBER according the following
regularly:
CLIMBER:
§
Check visually the relevant mechanical damage regularly – in the
event of any presence or suspicion
for
presence call your seller or service warranter.
§
Check the state of belts – in the event of damage or marked
abrasion call your seller or service warranter.
§
Keep the CLIMBER cleanness.
§
Deal with the CLIMBER econnomize – you raise its lifetime!
The
battery and electric connection:
§
Check the battery charge status regularly. If the operation time
of CLIMBER isn´t in terms of warranted
value at
battery charged statusy contact your seller or service warranter.
§
In case the CLIMBER isn´t used for a longer time it is necessary
to charge the battery once a month
regularly.
Otherwise come to devaluation of battery.
§
Don´t intervene in electricity distribution of CLIMBER of itself.
In the event of appropriate trouble
or damage
call your seller or service warranter.

7. guarantee and regular after-guarantee maintenance inspection
The
guarantee hasn´t respect if some trouble thrust by reason of using the CLIMBER
by other method
than
is noted in this instruction guide.

Is
necessary to do the regular yearly service to ensure failure free and safe
facility operation.
